Here in Brazil, feeling is of hope Dilma, is expected to deepen the Lula model (there are cases and cases of Rio, the situation is tremendous, but that is not a result of current government but a social pressure cooker that had long and sooner or later going to explode) and the two most powerful countries in the region will be governed by women with many ovaries that is not going to shake his hand to defend the interests of their countries (and hence the region, for either forward or we all fucked us all) and that will leave a historical trace their presidencies.
The issue of poverty in our continent is far more complicated than I pretend to do see, it is almost a cultural issue here is many people whose family has always been poor and never wanted to get ahead but are given opportunities to that slavery and cultural submission is that we must fight to make progress in reducing poverty, education must be given to people, teach them to get ahead, not giving them all but give them the tools to work and be productive, help with loans small and low interest to start businesses and create new jobs.
The fight starts so far, but I have hope that men and women of this continent are going to do, following the example of Lula, Néstor, Cristina, they did not fall from heaven and had to fight hard for their ideals, they have left the way open, now up to each and every one of us to give the best of themselves and create a great nation, united and strong, an example for the world.
